Text to Park

Overview and Benefits

Text to Park provides parkers with additional transaction methods that they can use to pay for parking sessions. Increasing use of contactless payment methods in a parking environment can reduce the need for meters, thus reducing hardware costs and maintenance fees.

Passport will provide a decal with the short-code phone number that you can apply to existing signage. If your signage contains outdated branding, Passport will work with you to ensure you have updated decals or signage. In either case, Passport’s marketing team can help you.

Keywords

Each of these automated keywords are required in order to remain compliant with texting guidelines and regulations.

  • Note: Users would send these keywords to Passport’s short code: 30843.

HELP

  • If a user experiences a problem or requires additional support, they can text “HELP” to the short-code number. An automated text response will provide information about how to contact Passport’s support team.

STOP

  • Passport never subscribes parkers in order to send them promotional text messages. We do provide parkers with the option to opt out of receiving future text messages by texting “STOP” to the same initial short code number. After the “STOP” message has been received, Passport will send one final text confirming that the user has been unsubscribed from our Text to Pay program.

PARK

  • Parkers will text “PARK” to the short code number in order to initiate a parking session.

  • Note: The "PARK" keyword is configured to respond with the Passport app mobile pay web workflow.

Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy

Passport updated our Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy documentation in order to remain compliant with the CTIA Short Code Handbook.
