Overview
You can find the Rate Edit tool suite in the Passport menu under Parking > Rate Management > Rate Edit Tools. If you do not have access to the page, contact your System Administrator to request access. If you’re not sure who your System Administrator is, you can submit a Passport Support ticket for assistance.
The Rate Schedules subtool controls when a rate is eligible to apply. They set timing only. Pricing and session rules live inside the rate itself.
The most common use case for a rate schedule is an event rate, since it's commonly used for pricing tied to a game, festival, or other one time event. While a schedule is active, its rate overrides any other pricing in that zone. Outside the schedule's time slots, the zone's regular rate resumes automatically.
A schedule needs at least one time slot and at least one rate attached before it can take effect.
How it works
Viewing existing items
Navigate to Parking > Rate Management > Rate Schedules. Select the three dot menu under Actions for an individual item on the list to open its details page.
Creating a schedule
Click Create Rate Schedule and name it. The name is used internally to identify this schedule and may appear in reporting. Keep it unique and specific so it is easy to find later.
Detail page layout
Every schedule uses the same detail view.
Time slots table
Time slots define the specific dates and times a schedule is active, and in turn when its rate can apply. They can be set as One Time (a specific calendar date and time) or Recurring (repeating weekly on specific days and times). Recurring time slots repeat indefinitely.
To keep a schedule active continuously, use a Recurring time slot and select Every day of the week instead of a specific range.
Rates
A schedule can attach to one rate or many. It never attaches to zones or spaces directly, only to the rate itself. Within the attachment flow, rates can be added or removed in bulk by using the multi-select check boxes.
IMPORTANT: Clicking “Attach to…” or “Detach From…” updates the rate immediately. There is no additional Save step.
