Changes to Portal’s Reporting Fields [May 2025]

Overview

To enhance the alignment of Enforcement reports with the citation search experience in the Portal, we will be updating the fields displayed in your Enforcement reports beginning the week of May 19th, 2025. Some dashboards may receive updates before others. When updates occur, a banner will appear at the top of each dashboard, highlighting the changes and providing a link to this article for quick reference.

These updates are based directly on your feedback and aim to provide greater clarity around what the field represents and how you see that data point within our back office.

What is Changing?

We’ve updated several fee-related fields to match those shown in the Portal’s Manage Citations UI. These changes ensure that the fees you see in Looker match exactly what is visible when managing a citation in the Portal. The table below outlines the current column headers and the new column headers that will replace them.

Base Amount

Base Citation Amount

The initial citation amount at the time of issuance.

Penalty Fee

Escalation Amount

The total amount of escalations that have been applied to a citation.

Original Fee

Dismissed Amount

The citation amount at the time it was voided, including adjustments and admin fees.

Amount Due

Total Citation Amount

The total fee owed on a citation before any payments are applied.

Remaining Balance

Amount Due

The current outstanding balance after subtracting payments and dismissed amounts.

Why Are These Changes Happening?

These adjustments are being made to ensure that the information presented in your Enforcement reports matches exactly what you see in the Portal, simplifying your review pricesses and reducing potential confusion.

When Will These Changes Occur?

The first dashboards will be updated beginning the week of May 19th, 2025. As each dashboard is updated, you will see a banner notification detailing the updates that will link you back to this article for additional context.
